Fred
Bauerlein graduated
from John Marshall
Law School in
June of 2000. He started practicing law at the firm of
Sakes & Froman which was located in downtown Atlanta
near Five Points and the historic Underground. He started
his own practice in Marietta, Georgia in April of
2002.
Mr.
Bauerlein is admitted to practice in the several Courts of Law
and Equity in Georgia. These include all city, county, state,
and superior courts in the state of Georgia. He has litigated
in courts in Bartow County, Cherokee County, Cobb County,
Fulton County, Henry County, and Paulding County. Mr. Bauerlein
is a former summer clerk for the United States District Court
for the Western District of Texas. His duties were in both
Midland, Texas, and historic Pecos, Texas,
courtrooms.
The bar associations to
which Mr. Bauerlein belongs are the American Bar Association,
the State Bar of
Georgia, the Atlanta Bar Association, the Cobb
County Bar Association, and the Dekalb County Bar
Association.
Mr. Bauerlein has received
specialized training in mediation and in alternative dispute
resolution while in law school.
Mr. Bauerlein practices
primarily in Cobb, Bartow, Dekalb, Douglas, and Fulton counties
but also litigates in several surrounding circuits. These
include the Blue Ridge
Circuit and the Stone
Mountain Circuit.
Before Mr. Bauerlein became
an attorney he was involved in many different businesses. One
of those businesses was a small international oilfield supply
company. Mr. Bauerlein was responsible for importing oilfield
tools and and drilling equipment from Mexico and from countries
in both Central America and South America. He was also
responsible for importing deep-water drilling equipment from
the United Kingdom. Mr. Bauerlein also exported oilfield
equipment and drilling tools to all these countries from
Houston and Laredo, Texas. Mr. Bauerlein has extensive personal
and business contacts in the United Kingdom, Europe, the Gulf
States, Mexico, and Central and South America.
Mr. Bauerlein was a
principal in SDJ Construction, Inc. of Colorado Springs,
Colorado. He started this business with two partners after
leaving the United States Army. Mr. Bauerlein left the
construction business in order to attend
the University of
Colorado.
